I’m speaking on some learning to rank work I’ve been involved in at Coveo.
Later this month I’ll be at Search Solutions once more – 26 November, at the BCS in London. Third year running! The mix of industry practice and IR research is what keeps bringing me back.
I’ll be at Search Solutions again this year, on 27 November at the BCS offices in London. It’s a day of practitioners and researchers comparing notes on real search systems. Get in touch if you’re going and fancy a chat.
Next month I’ll be back at Berlin Buzzwords, 9–11 June in Berlin.
I’ll also attend the satellite event, MICES. It’s a single-day, single-track conference devoted to all things search and e-commerce.
This month I join Coveo as a Senior ML Engineer, working specifically in the Commerce AI division. Coveo is an AI-powered search and recommendation platform, serving enterprise customers across commerce, customer service, and workplace search.
Later this month I’ll be at Berlin Buzzwords, 18–20 June at the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin. I’ve never been before, but I’ve spent a lot of time learning watching talks from previous Buzzwords, and look forward to seeing some in person this year.
A patent that was filed with my co-inventor Nick Fellingham while I was at Adarga has been granted by the US Patent Office.

This month I transition in to the role of Principal Engineer at Cookpad. The Principal Engineer role has been recently introduced as a role at Cookpad, and I will work alongside the other three Principal Engineers in our Product organisation that consists of 75 engineers.
